According to Deloitte, the cost of poor mental health to UK employers has leapt by 25% since 2019, hitting £56bn in 2020-2021. Part of this may be down to the burnout some employees have experienced, especially at the height of the pandemic. Changing ways of working, while largely welcomed by employees, may be playing a part too.
