Accessing Free Treatment

WebThere are a number of different ways you might be able to access FREE treatment for mental health or mental distress issues: If your GP is part of the ProCare PHO, you may be eligible for funded GP mental health care and access to 4-6 sessions of psychological intervention (and in some instances funded psychiatric review if indicated).

WebIf someone has attempted suicide, or you’re worried about their immediate safety, please act quickly: Call your local mental health crisis assessment team or go with the person to the emergency department (ED) at your nearest hospital. ‍ Try to stay calm and let them know you care. Keep them talking and make sure you are safe. ‍ Do not leave them alone.
