The Moral Obligation to Promote your own Health
WEBThe intersection of health and morality have been debated for ages. In this thesis, I argue that health is in fact part of morality and, further, that we are morally obligated to promote our own health. I show how the moral obligation to promote one’s health can be derived from two classical ethical theories, Aristotle’s virtue ethics and Kantian deontology.
