Special Education
WEBThe Special Education Department promotes opportunities for gifted and disabled students to participate in educational activities designed to help each student achieve maximum potential. A full range of services, meeting the needs of all identified and placed disabled students ( Pre-K - 12), is offered in schools throughout the Blount County
Gifted and Talented Services
WEBThe scores from the assessments/items used are entered on a matrix where points are assigned according to established criteria. Become a Bus Driver
WEBYou must complete 10 hours of practice driving before attending the new driver class. Attend a 3-day class for new school bus drivers conducted by the State Department of Education. The SDE instructor will give a written and a performance test on the school bus after completion of this course. Call the Bus Shop at 205-850-3001 for the class dates.
