Community Healthworker Toolkit
WEBBHLI is developing a Toolkit for CHWs with funding from the Jacob and Hilda Blaustein Foundation and the Maryland Community Health Resources Commission. The Toolkit will be geared to CHWs who have gone through a general training or a behavioral health training program to use as a resource guide while they are out working with patients.
Join Our Program
WEBHow do I join? Interested persons who want to engage in or learn about treatment just need to knock on the door. Then they talk to staff about the available services and, if desired and appropriate, they immediately do an intake and are admitted into the program.

WEBProject Connections: Treatment for depression, anxiety and trauma-related disorders There is a strong association between depression and other mental health conditions and poverty, but relatively few of those affected are in treatment.
Project Connections at Re-Entry
WEBPCARE (Project Connections at Re-Entry) is our newest project and it is aimed at the problems faced by people in jail. There is a serious gap in treatment at the jail. Many inmates are suffering from serious addiction and mental health issues. Often, they have experienced trauma in their lives which lead to self-medication with illicit substances.

WEBAt RNP, Project Connections has a nurse, doctor, social worker and peer who together provide engagement, treatment and referral services on Wednesday afternoons. PCARE (Project Connections at Re-Entry) is BHLI’s newest project and it is aimed at the problems faced by people released from jail and in serious need of treatment.
