Should I keep Mawista health insurance as a student or change it

(3 days ago) WebI think most German students don't have a private insurance (like Mawista) but are insured in one of the public health insurances. As I have no experience with the private insurance I can't say much about them. The main difference seems to be that in the private you have to pay yoourself first and later the insurance refunds you the expenses.

Is Mawista Student Plus health insurance sufficient for residence

(Just Now) WebMawista is fine, although basic in its coverage. Source: have used it for two different resident permits in Germany, including my current study permit. I've been with them for like 2 years now. I don't know what the other commenter is talking about tbh because my plan (40€ monthly) is definitely not a travel insurance.

Why is Mawista Student so cheap? : r/germany - Reddit

(1 days ago) WebHellasPlanitia. • 2 yr. ago. Mawista is rebranded travel insurance. Compared to "real" health insurance: It has coverage limits. Once your medical costs exceed a certain sum, they kick you out. It has time limits. IIRC they only insure you for up to three years, then they kick you out (and you obviously can't re-enrol).
